Key Responsibilities
Provides individualized, holistic, and age-specific patient and family care using the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
Develops and adapts comprehensive plans of care in collaboration with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
Identifies and responds to patient and family educational needs through individualized education plans, applying adult-learning theory.
Serves as a patient and family advocate, encouraging participation in decision-making and upholding individual and family rights.
Delegates and assigns care to other healthcare team members within their scope of practice and competency.
Coordinates and communicates with healthcare team members and ancillary staff to expedite patient progress and workflow.
Required Qualifications
Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Current CPR certification.
Current ACLS certification.
Current PALS certification.
NIH Stroke Scale certification.
CPI or comparable crisis prevention certification (minimum 8-hour course with at least half completed in person).
Minimum of three years of recent RN experience in an RN role.
Minimum of two years of recent RN experience in a specialty area.
Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
Preferred Experience / Skills
Experience working in an Emergency Room or high-acuity clinical setting.
Demonstrated ability to manage complex, new, or high-risk clinical situations by collaborating with or seeking additional resources.
