    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care in a high-volume emergency department seeing approximately 80,000 visits per year, including trauma, MVAs, GSWs, CVA, MI, high-risk OB, psych holds, cardioversions, and conscious sedation cases
    • Perform bedside triage and manage a patient population that includes approximately 11% pediatric patients; patients under 15 are stabilized and transferred
    • Operate and monitor patients using GE Lifepack monitors and ventilators including Puritan Bennett 840, Draeger, Vision BiPAP, and V60s
    • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physicians, midlevels, paramedics, CNAs, charge nurses, and unit secretaries at a certified chest pain center and certified stroke center
    • Maintain flexibility to work all rotating shift start times across days, mids, and nights; meet a minimum of 4 weekend shifts per schedule period and 2 of 3 holidays during the holiday season
    • Float between two ER locations approximately 7 miles apart, primarily on mid-shifts as needed
    Required Qualifications
    • Active RN license in good standing
    • Minimum 2 years of recent ER/Trauma Level 1 experience required; experience must be within the past year
    • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, TNCC or ATCN, and PALS or ENPC
    • Must pass a dysrhythmia exam (via UNA only, maximum 2 attempts) within 48 hours of receiving an offer
    • Must pass a PASS/FAIL Simulation Lab on day 1 of orientation; failure results in a 6-month do-not-use designation
    • Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility; candidates may not have been employed full-time, part-time, or PRN at any affiliated network facility within the past year
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience in a high-acuity trauma environment with exposure to stroke, cardiac, and obstetric emergencies
    • Familiarity with GE Lifepack monitoring systems and ventilator management
    • Experience with moderate conscious sedation and competency in dysrhythmia recognition
    • Prior charge nurse experience in an emergency department setting
