    Job Title

    Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Room (ER) – Nights

    Contract | Night Shift | Onsite

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care in a 34-bed Emergency Department serving a mixed patient population
    • Manage drips and titrations in accordance with unit protocols and patient acuity
    • Maintain a 4:1 patient-to-nurse ratio in a fast-paced emergency care environment
    • Float to a freestanding emergency campus as needed
    • Participate in on-call assignments and respond to callback requests per unit needs
    • Comply with holiday scheduling expectations, including working 1–2 of the designated winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year's) unless the unit is closed
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Iowa RN license or active Compact/Multistate RN license at time of submission
    • Minimum 24 months of Emergency Room / Emergency Department experience required
    • Must have completed at least one travel contract within the previous 18 months
    • EPIC EMR experience required
    • Active AHA BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
    • Active AHA ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification required
    • Active AHA or ARC PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification required
    • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Competency) certification required
    • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required – may be obtained during onboarding
    • Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible (verified by driver's license)
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Active de-escalation certification (CPI, MAB, MOAB, or SAMA) highly preferred; non-certified candidates may be considered if certification is obtained during onboarding
    • Professional reference from a charge nurse, supervisor, nurse manager, director, CNO, or COO within the past 24 months preferred
    • NIH Stroke Scale certification in-hand at time of submission preferred
