Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced emergency department setting during night shift hours
- Assess, triage, and prioritize patients based on acuity and clinical presentation
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as ordered by the treating physician
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to coordinate and deliver timely, high-quality patient care
- Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic medical record
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Illinois or a compact state license
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Prior experience in an emergency department or acute care setting
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with emergency triage protocols and high-acuity patient populations
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification preferred
- Familiarity with electronic medical record systems
