Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Camden, SC | Acute Care Hospital
Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Every other weekend required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Room setting within an acute care hospital
- Manage patient assignments based on acuity-driven ratios
- Float within scope of practice to meet facility needs as required
- Document patient care accurately using Epic electronic health records
- Participate in emergency response team assignments during hurricane season (June–November), which may be required of all staff and contractors
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience required
- Active South Carolina RN license or Multistate/Compact RN license required (SC license must be active prior to start date)
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS (American Heart Association accepted)
- Must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates may be considered on a case-by-case basis
- Previous permanent or PRN staff must have been separated from the facility system for at least 1 year before being eligible as a traveler
Preferred Experience / Skills
- CPI certification preferred
- TNCC certification preferred
- Experience with Epic charting system
