    Registered Nurse – Emergency Room (Triage)

    Contract | 26-Week Assignment | Nights | 12-Hour Shifts | Every Other Weekend Required | 2 Holiday Shifts Required | 72 Guaranteed Hours Biweekly

    Key Responsibilities
    • Perform triage assessments and provide immediate care to patients presenting with acute injuries and medical emergencies in a Level 1 Trauma Center Emergency Department
    • Deliver direct patient care across a large, state-of-the-art Emergency Department including private treatment rooms, fast-track area, and behavioral health suite
    • Utilize electronic health record system (Epic) for patient assessment, care documentation, and medication administration
    • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to manage high-acuity and trauma patients in a fast-paced environment
    • Adhere to established protocols for emergency and trauma care, ensuring patient safety and quality outcomes
    Required Qualifications
    • Minimum of 6 years of Emergency Room nursing experience required for triage role consideration
    • Triage training and demonstrated triage experience required
    • Level 1 Trauma Center experience required
    • Active Massachusetts Registered Nurse license required
    • BLS and ACLS certifications through the American Heart Association (AHA) required
    • Proficiency with Epic electronic health record system required
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience working in a high-volume, academic, or teaching hospital emergency department
    • Familiarity with behavioral health patient populations within an emergency setting
