    Job Title

    Registered Nurse – Emergency Room (Travel Contract)

    Boerne, TX | Freestanding Emergency Center

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | 36 Guaranteed Hours per Week | Rotating Weekends

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care in a 24/7 freestanding emergency center serving a diverse patient population including pediatric, trauma, cardiac, and stroke cases
    • Assess, stabilize, and manage patients presenting with conditions such as acute myocardial infarction, cardiac arrest, respiratory arrest, stroke, trauma, overdose, seizures, and pulmonary embolus
    • Operate within a 15-room emergency department including trauma/cardiac care rooms, fast-track rooms, and 24-hour observation beds
    • Utilize on-site diagnostic equipment including CT scanner, dedicated x-ray suite, ultrasound, and telemetry systems
    • Document patient care accurately using the Meditech electronic documentation system
    • Float to other units as needed in accordance with facility floating policy
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Texas RN License — temporary licenses will not be accepted
    • Minimum 2+ years of Emergency Room experience
    • BLS certification required
    • ACLS certification required
    • PALS certification required
    • TNCC certification required
    • NIH Stroke Scale certification required
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Prior experience with Meditech documentation system
    • Experience managing stroke and STEMI patients
    • Pediatric emergency care experience
