Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Schedule / Job Type
Contract | 12-Hour Night Shifts | Every Other Weekend | Expected 72 hours biweekly
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Room setting
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for emergency patients across varying acuity levels
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure timely and effective patient outcomes
- Float to a sister facility as needed to support staffing and patient care continuity
- Complete facility-required orientation testing, including an onsite competency assessment on day one
Required Qualifications
- Active Massachusetts RN license or valid temporary Massachusetts RN license required at time of submission
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience
- Must be willing and able to float to a sister facility as needed
- Must not have worked at this health system (permanent, per diem, or contract) within the last 6 months
- No time-off requests will be considered during the contract period
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in a high-volume or Level II/III emergency department
- Strong critical thinking and triage assessment skills
- Familiarity with Relias or similar online competency testing platforms
