Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Room setting during night shift hours
- Participate in on-call rotation every other weekend as required by the unit
- Complete facility orientation modules as scheduled during the orientation period
- Report as assigned by unit management in the event of an emergency, which may include remaining at the facility until the event has passed or serving as part of a relief team
- Maintain ACLS, BLS, PALS, and CPI certifications throughout the duration of the assignment
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — Compact or Louisiana state license required and must be in hand at time of submittal
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Emergency Room nursing
- AHA-issued ACLS, BLS, PALS, and CPI certifications required (CPI must be obtained prior to start if not already held)
- Current NURSYS report required with submission (must be dated within 4 weeks of submission date)
- Two Manager/Supervisor references (in PDF format) required prior to start — Charge RN references are not accepted
- Must reside more than 65 miles from the facility (as verified by address on driver's license) to be eligible
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience as a travel nurse in an Emergency Room setting
- Familiarity with high-volume, acute care emergency environments
- Strong adaptability and ability to perform effectively during emergency or disaster events
