Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM) | Every other weekend required | Holidays required as scheduled
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Room setting
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for emergency patients across varying acuity levels
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure timely and effective patient outcomes
- Float within scope of practice as needed — travelers are expected to float first
- Adhere to all facility policies, compliance requirements, and scheduling expectations
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license in Maryland or a valid Compact state license at time of submission
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience
- Required Certifications: ACLS (AHA only), BLS (AHA only), PALS (AHA only), CPI, and NIHSS
- CPI certification must be completed through the Calm Every Storm online platform if completed online
- Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility (permanent address) to be eligible — locals under 50 miles are not accepted unless otherwise specified
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior travel nursing experience welcomed — first-time travelers are accepted
- Ability to adapt quickly to new environments and varying patient populations
- Comfort with floating within scope across units with no restrictions
