Key Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for an assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process
- Supervise and direct the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff
- Coordinate patient care with other disciplines across the department
- Apply critical thinking, professional discretion, and independent judgment in all clinical decisions
- Adhere to department scheduling needs; block scheduling and special scheduling requests are not accommodated
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor
- AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS certification
- AHA-PALS or ARC-PALS certification
- Minimum of 2 years of experience required; 3 or more years preferred
- Recent EPIC experience required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
- Acute care facility experience
- 3 or more years of Emergency Room nursing experience
