Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Night Shift (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Every Other Weekend Required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a high-volume Emergency Department with up to 101 beds and patient ratios of 4:1 (medical) and up to 7:1 for behavioral holds
- Utilize Cerner for clinical documentation and maintain accurate, up-to-date patient information on communication boards throughout each visit
- Operate unit equipment including Baxter pumps and GE monitors in collaboration with techs, unit clerks, and cardiac monitoring staff
- Adhere to patient experience standards including AIDET, respectful behavior practices, and consistent patient communication throughout the visit
- Demonstrate flexibility to float within all sections of the Emergency Department as needed
- Apply real-time coaching, feedback, and teamwork skills in a fast-paced, multicultural environment
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse, with at least 1 year of experience in an Emergency Department setting
- Experience in a Level II Trauma Center, comprehensive stroke center, or high-volume ED (100,000+ annual visits)
- Active RN licensure
- ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, and NIHSS certifications required prior to start date
- ENPC certification required within 90 days of hire
- Strong teamwork mentality with the ability to provide and receive real-time feedback
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous experience working within an HCA-affiliated facility
- Familiarity with Cerner electronic health records system
- Experience working in a diverse, multicultural patient population
