Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Night Shift (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Every Other Weekend Required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a high-volume Emergency Department with up to 101 beds and patient ratios of 4:1 (medical) and up to 7:1 for behavioral holds
- Utilize Cerner for all clinical documentation and maintain accurate, up-to-date patient information throughout each visit
- Operate Baxter pumps and GE monitors in accordance with unit protocols
- Demonstrate AIDET communication standards and maintain respectful, patient-centered interactions, including updating patient boards throughout each visit
- Float within all sections of the Emergency Department as needed to meet departmental staffing requirements
- Collaborate with techs, cardiac monitoring unit staff, triage personnel, and unit clerks across all shifts
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license with a minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, including at least 1 year in an Emergency Department setting
- Experience in a Level II Trauma Center, comprehensive stroke center, or high-volume ED (100,000+ annual visits)
- ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, and NIHSS certifications required prior to start date
- ENPC certification required within 90 days of hire
- Ability to work every other weekend; scheduling must meet departmental needs (no block scheduling)
- Strong teamwork mentality with the ability to coach and provide real-time feedback
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous experience working within an HCA-affiliated facility
- Familiarity with Cerner electronic health records system
- Experience serving diverse, multicultural patient populations
