    Travel RN – Emergency Department

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Night Shift (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Every Other Weekend Required

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care in a high-volume Emergency Department with up to 101 beds and patient ratios of 4:1 (medical) and up to 7:1 on behavioral holds
    • Utilize Cerner for all clinical documentation throughout each patient visit, including maintaining updated patient boards
    • Collaborate with techs, cardiac monitoring unit staff, triage personnel, and unit clerks across all sections of the ED
    • Demonstrate AIDET communication standards and respectful patient experience practices with every patient encounter
    • Operate Baxter pumps and GE monitors in accordance with unit protocols
    • Maintain flexibility to float to all sections within the Emergency Department as departmental needs require
    Required Qualifications
    • Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with at least 1 year in an Emergency Department setting
    • Experience in a Level II Trauma Center, comprehensive stroke center, or high-volume ED (100,000+ annual visits)
    • Active RN licensure in good standing
    • ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, and NIHSS certifications required prior to start date
    • ENPC certification required within 90 days of hire
    • Strong teamwork mentality with the ability to coach and provide real-time feedback
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience working within an HCA-affiliated facility
    • Familiarity with high-acuity, multi-cultural patient populations and diverse community settings
    • Demonstrated ability to adapt scheduling to meet dynamic departmental needs
