Travel Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Contract | 13 Weeks | Days | Onsite | Shift: 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a high-volume Emergency Department with up to 101 beds, maintaining patient ratios of 4:1 for medical patients and up to 7:1 for behavioral holds
- Utilize Cerner for all clinical documentation throughout the patient visit, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Operate and monitor Baxter pumps and GE monitoring equipment in accordance with unit protocols
- Float within all sections of the Emergency Department as needed to meet departmental staffing requirements
- Uphold patient experience standards including AIDET communication, respectful behavior, and consistent board and patient updates throughout each visit
- Work collaboratively with techs, cardiac monitoring unit staff, triage personnel, and unit clerks across day and night shifts
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with at least 1 year in an Emergency Room setting
- Current ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, and NIHSS certifications required prior to start date
- ENPC certification required within 90 days of hire
- Ability to work every other weekend; scheduling must meet departmental needs with no block scheduling commitment
- Strong teamwork mentality with the ability to coach and provide real-time feedback; flexibility to work in all areas of the ED
Preferred Experience / Skills
- 2 years of experience in a Level II Trauma Center or comprehensive stroke center environment
- Experience in a high-volume Emergency Department exceeding 100,000 annual visits
- Previous experience within the HCA healthcare system
