    Job Title

    Travel RN – Emergency Department

    Location

    Asheville, North Carolina

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Midshift: 3:00 PM – 3:00 AM | Every other weekend required

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care in a high-volume emergency department with up to 101 beds and patient ratios of 4:1 (medical) and up to 7:1 for behavioral holds
    • Utilize Cerner for clinical documentation and maintain accurate, up-to-date patient information throughout each visit
    • Operate unit equipment including Baxter pumps and GE monitors in accordance with department protocols
    • Float within all sections of the emergency department as needed to meet departmental staffing needs
    • Adhere to patient experience standards including AIDET communication, respectful behavior, and consistent patient updates
    • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including techs, cardiac monitoring staff, triage personnel, and unit clerks
    Required Qualifications
    • Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with at least 1 year in an emergency department setting
    • Active RN licensure
    • ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, and NIHSS certifications required prior to start date
    • ENPC certification required within 90 days of hire
    • Strong teamwork mentality with the ability to provide real-time coaching and feedback
    • Flexibility to work in all areas of the emergency department
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • 2 years of experience in a Level II trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, or high-volume ED exceeding 100,000 annual visits
    • Familiarity with Cerner electronic health records system
    • Experience working in a culturally diverse patient population
