Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Department setting within a 328-bed acute care hospital
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for emergency patients across varying acuity levels
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure timely and effective treatment
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes
- Adhere to facility protocols, Joint Commission standards, and patient safety guidelines
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Louisiana or a compact state
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification required prior to submission
- Minimum of 1 year of Emergency Department nursing experience
- Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous travel nursing experience in an emergency or acute care setting
- Familiarity with high-volume emergency department workflows and triage protocols
- BLS and ACLS certifications
