    Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Night Shift | 4x12 Hours (19:00–07:30) | 36 or 48 hours per week | Onsite

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity Emergency Department setting, including management of admitted and ED holding patients
    • Administer medications including IV medications in accordance with the seven medication rights
    • Document and communicate clinical findings accurately and in a timely manner
    • Maintain patient ratios of 1:5 in the Emergency Department
    • Float to Adult PCUs based on staffing needs; optional float to Pediatric ED; potential float to ED Holding and Trauma based on experience
    • Work scheduled weekend shifts as needed, including Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights
    Required Qualifications
    • Active RN license in the state of New Mexico (may be pending at time of submission)
    • Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department experience (1.5 years may be considered)
    • Current ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required (TNCC must be obtained prior to submission; NIH may pend until compliance due date)
    • NIH Stroke Scale certification
    • RQI certifications are not accepted; standard certifications only
    • Must not reside within 100 miles of the facility; non-local driver's license required on file
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Prior travel nursing experience strongly preferred
    • Level I Trauma experience preferred; candidates with 2+ years of Level I experience may be considered without prior travel experience
    • Familiarity with Cerner electronic health records system
