Travel Nurse RN - Emergency Room (ER) / Trauma in Albany, GA

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a high-volume emergency department seeing approximately 180–200 visits per day, serving a patient population ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics
• Manage a patient ratio of 1:4, performing independent lab draws and IV starts
• Care for patients across a broad acuity spectrum including trauma, CVA, orthopedic, and neurological presentations; facility functions as a CVA center
• Document and manage patient care using Meditech 6.15 EMR
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including ED physicians, APP providers, nurse aides, paramedics, respiratory therapists (24/7, dedicated to the ER), and pharmacy staff
• Adhere to facility callout procedures and complete all required orientation shifts during the first week of assignment unless an exception is approved in advance by leadership

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in good standing
• Minimum 5 years of emergency room nursing experience
• At least 1 prior travel nursing assignment
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, ACLS or NIHSS, and CPI
• Meditech EMR experience required
• Availability to work every other weekend and every other holiday
• Must live at least 75 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a high-volume, Level II or comparable trauma emergency department
• Familiarity with behavioral health patient management protocols, including care within a locked psychiatric observation area
• Experience working alongside respiratory therapy teams managing ventilated patients at the bedside
