Job Opportunity – Emergency Department Registered Nurse – North Carolina**Start Date:** September 16, 2026**Location:** Asheville, North Carolina**Compensation:** Details provided to qualified applicants**Schedule:** 48 hours guaranteed per week, 6-week assignment, overtime available after 48 hours, every other weekend required**Highlights:**- Level 2 trauma center and comprehensive stroke center with over 100,000 annual visits- 101-bed Emergency Department with typical 4:1 medical patient ratios- Float to all sections within the ED; no floating outside the department- Utilizes Cerner documentation system and modern equipment including Baxter pumps and GE monitors- Unit support includes dedicated techs, unit clerks on days and nights, and comprehensive resources- Rapid Response assignment requiring immediate availability**Requirements:**- Active North Carolina RN license- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with at least 1 year in Emergency Department setting- Experience in Level 2 trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, and high-volume ED (100,000+ visits) preferred- ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, and NIHSS certifications required before start date- ENPC certification required within 90 days of hire- Ability to work all areas of the Emergency Department with flexibility- Strong teamwork skills and ability to provide real-time coaching and feedback**Why It's a Great Opportunity:**Join a department recognized for exceptional teamwork and welcoming culture while serving a vibrant, multicultural community representing over 120 languages.
