Start Date: September 22, 2026

Location: Western North Carolina

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 48 hours guaranteed per week; overtime available after 48 hours. Every other weekend required. Flexibility to work in all sections of the Emergency Department. 6-week contract assignment.

  • High-volume Emergency Department serving over 100,000 visits annually in a Level 2 Trauma Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center
  • 101-bed Emergency Department with advanced cardiac monitoring and processing capabilities
  • Cerner electronic medical record system with Baxter pumps and GE monitoring equipment
  • Typical patient ratios of 4:1 for medical patients; collaborative team environment with dedicated techs, unit clerks, and support staff
  • Serve a diverse, multi-cultural community with representation of over 120 languages
  • Department recognized for exceptional teamwork and welcoming culture
Requirements:
  • Active Registered Nurse license
  • Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with at least 1 year in an Emergency Department setting
  • Experience in a Level 2 Trauma Center, Comprehensive Stroke Center, or high-volume Emergency Department strongly preferred
  • Current certifications required before start date: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, and NIHSS
  • ENPC certification required within 90 days of hire
  • Strong teamwork mentality with ability to provide real-time coaching and feedback
  • Flexibility to work across all areas of the Emergency Department
