Registered Nurse - Long Term Care
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment at a Long Term Care (LTC) facility located on the campus of a hospital in Honakaa, Hawaii. This role is crucial for providing comprehensive care to residents requiring extended medical and rehabilitative services.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, including assessments, treatments, and medication administration, while collaborating with the interdisciplinary team. This position offers an opportunity to work within a supportive environment focused on resident well-being and recovery.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians or nurse practitioners.
- Monitor patient conditions and provide timely notification to MD/NP of pertinent changes.
- Manage patient admissions and discharges efficiently and accurately.
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).
- Provide specialized care including gastrostomy tube care, urinary catheter care, and nebulizer treatments.
- Manage wound care, including wound vac applications.
- Provide care for patients utilizing CPAP machines.
- Document all patient care activities accurately and in a timely manner.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to ensure coordinated patient care.
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Minimum of one year of recent experience in a Long Term Care (LTC) setting.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Licensing Requirements
