Exciting Opportunity for Registered Nurse - ER (Adult)** **Job Description:** - **Shift Hours/Contract Length:** 7 PM - 7 AM, 13 weeks - **Charting Experience:** Expertise in EPIC required - **Weekend Requirements:** Every other weekend commitment - **Scheduling Requests:** Submit any requests upon application - **Call Off Policy:** Up to three shifts may be canceled without incurring charges during the contract period - **Holiday Requirements:** Availability to work every other holiday as needed - **First-Time Travelers:** Welcomed to apply - **Local Candidates:** RN's within 75 miles of the facility are not accepted (Locals accepted for LPN's) **Required License/Certifications:** - **Active License:** Must possess a valid New York Single State RN license (NY is not Compact) - **Certifications:** BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (valid NIHSS certification must be included) **Required Clinical Skills:** - IV therapy (blood product administration, central line care, phlebotomy, starting/maintaining IVs; IV vasopressors) - CPAP/BiPAP; ventilator management - CVA (stroke), neuro-trauma, spinal cord injury, TBI - Cardiac monitoring (interpretation and management of dysrhythmias) - Emergency care experience (adult/pediatric ED, gunshot wounds, ortho trauma) - Familiarity with isolation precautions; triage; pediatric spinal cord injury **Unit Details and Floating:** - **Ratios:** 1:5 (adults, geriatrics); handling all emergency-type diagnoses - **Special Equipment:** Bair hugger, rapid infuser, safe patient handling equipment - **Floating:** Will be required to float within skillset - **Scrub Color:** Any combination of navy blue and white **Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol):** At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
