**Join Our Team as a Registered Nurse in the ER!**
**Job Description:**
- **Shift Hours:** 7a-7p / 11a-11p
- **Contract Length:** 13 weeks
- **Charting System:** Experience with EPIC is a must
- **Weekend Requirement:** Every other weekend
- **RTO/Block & Special Scheduling Requests:** Submit requests upon application
- **Call Off Policy:** Client may cancel up to three shifts without charges during the contract
- **Holiday Requirement:** Available to work every other holiday, if needed
- **First-Time Travelers:** Welcome!
- **Local RN Candidates:** Not accepted within 75 miles; locals accepted for LPNs
**Required License/Certifications:**
- **Active License:** Must have a New York Single State RN license (NY is not Compact)
- **Certifications:**
- BLS
- ACLS
- NIHSS (Submit valid certification)
**Required Clinical Skills:**
- IV therapy (including blood product administration and central line care)
- Phlebotomy and starting/maintaining IVs
- IV vasopressors administration
- CPAP/BiPAP and ventilator management
- Expertise in CVA (stroke), neuro-trauma, spinal cord injury, TBI
- Cardiac monitoring (dysrhythmias interpretation and management)
- Emergency care (adult/pediatric ED, gunshot wounds, orthopedic trauma)
- Isolation precautions and triage experience
- Pediatric spinal cord injury care
**Unit Details and Floating:**
- **Patient Ratios:** 1:5 (Adults, Geriatrics; various emergency diagnoses)
- **Special Equipment:** Bair hugger, rapid infuser, safe patient handling equipment
- **Floating Requirements:** Flexibility to float within skillset
- **Scrub Color:** Any combination of navy blue and white
