# Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Emergency Department – New York

Start Date: September 29, 2026

Location: New York

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour shifts, alternating 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, 13-week contract with every other weekend requirement and every other holiday availability

  • Epic charting system with specialized trauma suite and crisis intervention unit
  • Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and physical therapy
  • 24 hours of orientation with float requirements within skillset

Requirements:

  • Active New York Single State RN license (pending licenses not accepted; NY is not a Compact state)
  • Current BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required
  • Minimum 2 years of emergency department nursing experience
  • Epic charting experience required
  • Proficiency in IV therapy including blood product administration, central line care, phlebotomy, and IV management
  • Experience with CPAP/BiPAP and ventilator management
  • Clinical expertise in CVA/stroke care, neuro-trauma, spinal cord injury, and traumatic brain injury
  • Competency in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and emergency care for adult/pediatric patients
  • Knowledge of isolation precautions, triage protocols, and management of complex emergency situations including gunshot wounds and ortho trauma
  • Candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility are not eligible
  • Maximum 10 days of requested time off during contract period
