Job Title: Emergency Department Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2.5 years in a large level II trauma center required License: Current Registered Nurse license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH, PALS required Must-Have: - Minimum of 2.5 years of experience in a large level II trauma center - Experience with EPIC documentation system - Weekend coverage required as per department needs Description: Emergency Department Registered Nurse PM Shift needed. The facility accepts first-time travelers with at least 2.5 years of experience. Candidates must have experience in a large level II trauma center. Floating within the hospital may be required based on census. Weekend shifts are required as per the needs of the department. On-call duties are not required. The documentation system utilized is EPIC. Pre-approval for time off is at the discretion of management. Holiday time off requests will be reviewed separately when availability is clear. No holiday time off can be guaranteed at this time. Candidates must possess specific certifications including ACLS, BLS, NIH, and PALS. Must have experience with arterial line management, ventilated patient care, and trauma management. Strong skills in phlebotomy, procedural sedation, and triage are necessary. Candidates should be comfortable treating a diverse patient population including neonates, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Daily patient census can reach approximately 310 visits. Unit supports include physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, and pharmacy. Candidates must demonstrate a history of managing patients with various critical conditions including trauma and CVA. A reference from within the last two years is required.
