Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment in our Emergency Department located in Kapaa, Hawaii. This role is crucial for providing high-quality, immediate care to patients presenting with a wide range of emergent conditions.
The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating strong clinical judgment and the ability to adapt to varying patient acuities and departmental needs. This position requires flexibility, including the potential to float to Long Term Care or Intensive Care Unit departments as operational needs dictate.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department, from initial assessment through discharge or transfer.
- Rapidly assess patient conditions, prioritize interventions, and implement evidence-based care plans for emergent situations.
- Administer medications, perform treatments, and operate medical equipment in accordance with established protocols.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Document all patient care activities accurately and thoroughly in the electronic health record.
- Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and staff.
- Float to Long Term Care (LTC) or Intensive Care Unit (ICU) departments as needed to support facility operations.
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Minimum of two (2) years of recent, mandatory experience in an Emergency Department setting.
- Ability to float to Long Term Care or Intensive Care Unit as needed.
