License: Valid state nursing license required. Certifications: ACLS, CPI, PALS, TNCC. Must-Have: - Experience with pediatric population highly preferred. - Epic experience required. - Ability to manage various patient diagnoses and emergencies. - Strong skills in general emergency department care, including triage and interpretation of dysrhythmias. Description: Must work 2 out of 3 winter holidays. The average daily census is 70 with approximately 160 visits per day. The unit has 36 rooms and 50 beds. Every other weekend is required. This position will involve floating to ICU and Emergency Department as needed. Team nursing and helping hands approach is expected. The patient population includes neonates, infants, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Procedures include conscious sedation, trauma alert activation, and stroke alert. Primary diagnoses range from minor cuts and scrapes to complex conditions including oncological and neurological emergencies. Additional duties may include assisting in patient sitting and evaluations for abuse/assault/neglect. The unit utilizes various special equipment such as point of care ultrasound and other advanced medical technologies. Candidates must be able to administer emergency medications and manage dysrhythmias effectively.
