Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (LDRP RN) to join a dynamic obstetrics department at a Critical Access Hospital in Sidney, Montana. This pivotal role involves providing comprehensive, high-quality care to women and their newborns throughout the entire perinatal journey, encompassing labor, delivery, and the postpartum period.

The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, playing a critical role in guiding patients through childbirth and initial recovery. You will collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team, including physicians and pediatricians, to ensure excellent, patient-centered care and support for those experiencing complications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care for laboring patients, postpartum mothers, and newborns.
  • Perform obstetric triage and Non-Stress Tests (NSTs).
  • Serve as a second nurse during deliveries and manage overflow patients efficiently.
  • Collaborate effectively with physicians, pediatricians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless, patient-centered care.
  • Provide compassionate support and intervention for patients experiencing complications during pregnancy, birth, or recovery.

Required Qualifications

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Montana.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of recent experience in Labor and Delivery.
  • Demonstrated experience and competency in Labor and Delivery nursing.
  • Current certifications: Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), STABLE, and Fetal Monitoring (Intermediate or Advanced).
