The unit requires the ability to handle frequent patient admissions and transfers. The patient population served is diverse and includes various specialties but excludes ICU-level patients. Relief charge may be required; candidates must be willing to work relief charge as needed. The facility is a Level I Trauma center and operates with a total of 554 staffed beds. Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, and pharmacy. The adult admission inpatient unit is a fast-paced environment functioning as an admission unit. Required skills include managing medical equipment and effective time management. The unit consists of 17 beds and up to 8 hall beds. The candidate must be open to floating to different areas as needed. A commitment to maintaining effective communication and collaboration with the healthcare team is essential.
