Job Opportunity – Emergency Department Nurse – Kansas**Start Date:** July 27, 2026**Location:** Kansas**Compensation:** Details provided to qualified applicants**Schedule:** Mid-shift schedules available (ranging from 10:00 AM – 10:30 PM to 1:00 PM – 1:30 AM). Every third weekend required. 48-hour weekly guarantee available.Highlights:
- Level 2 Trauma Center with 24-bed Emergency Department providing comprehensive trauma, STEMI, stroke, and sepsis care
- 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio with unit secretary support 21 hours daily and experienced core team support
- Advanced equipment including Level 1 fluid warmers, GE monitor systems, Arctic Sun, Lifepak devices, and Alaris pumps
- Meditech documentation system for streamlined charting
- Minimal floating policy – staff only float if others have been flexed home
- Positive, can-do culture focused on patient experience excellence using AIDET methodology
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department or Trauma nursing experience in a Level 2 Trauma Center
- Current Kansas RN license (or eligibility to obtain)
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, ENPC or PALS, TNCC, NIH Stroke Scale
- Preferred certifications: CEN or TCRN, CPI
- Advanced knowledge and skills in trauma care, STEMI management, stroke protocols, sepsis management, and triage
- Experience with full range of procedures associated with Level 2 Trauma Center emergency care
