This role focuses on delivering patient care through the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, in a fast-paced environment. The candidate will be expected to direct and guide patient care and activities of ancillary personnel, maintaining professional nursing standards.

Key Responsibilities of the RN - ER/ED - Emergency Room/Emergency Department

• Deliver patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Administer and monitor patient responses to medications
• Direct and guide patient care, teaching, and activities of ancillary personnel
• Maintain standards of professional nursing within Hospital Policy
• Utilize the nursing process and maintain accurate patient records
• Demonstrate proficiency in charge nurse role and nursing informatics
• Participate in unit staff meetings and mandatory programs
• Ensure adherence to safety and procedures
• Assess and maintain professional development activities

Requirements of the RN - ER/ED - Emergency Room/Emergency Department

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• 2 years of recent ER RN experience
• At least 1 year of ER travel experience
• Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification required
• Skills in IV administration, ventilator care, and telemetry monitoring required
• Completion of an approved de-escalation Certification Course preferred
• TNCC, ENPC, and PALS certifications preferred
