Job Summary
Join York Hospital in picturesque York, Maine, as a dedicated Registered Nurse specializing in both Cardiac Catheterization Lab and Interventional Radiology procedures. This full-time, 13-week travel assignment offers a dynamic opportunity to provide comprehensive patient care in a fast-paced environment.
The role primarily focuses on Cath Lab responsibilities, including assisting with diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures. A crucial aspect of this position is the mandatory ability to flex into the Interventional Radiology suite, providing pre, intra, and post-procedural care for a diverse patient population.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist physicians during Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE) and cardioversion procedures.
- Provide comprehensive pre-procedure, intra-procedure (circulating), and post-procedure care for patients in the Cath Lab.
- Provide comprehensive pre-procedure, intra-procedure (circulating), and post-procedure care for patients in the Interventional Radiology suite.
- Monitor patient vital signs and assess patient status throughout procedures.
- Administer medications as prescribed and manage patient comfort.
- Ensure sterile technique and maintain a safe procedural environment.
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Experience in Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE) procedures.
- Experience in cardioversion procedures.
- Mandatory experience in Interventional Radiology, including circulating and pre/post-procedure patient care.
- Ability to respond to call within 20 minutes of the facility.
- Proof of influenza vaccination, as mandated by the State of Maine.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in a Cath Lab or Interventional Radiology setting.
