Job Summary
Join a high-volume, high-acuity Emergency Department in Springfield, Massachusetts, as a dedicated Registered Nurse. This large 118-bed unit serves a highly diverse patient population, encompassing everything from behavioral health and boarding patients to critical care and ICU-level cases.
This role demands strong critical care skills and adaptability to manage complex and unstable patients in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. You will be an integral part of a team committed to providing comprehensive emergency care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert nursing care to a diverse patient population across all acuity levels, including behavioral health, trauma, and critically ill patients.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in a high-pressure emergency setting.
- Manage and stabilize complex and unstable patients, demonstrating advanced critical care skills.
- Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain a high level of adaptability and critical thinking in a rapidly changing environment.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure.
- Minimum of 2 years of post-orientation experience in an Emergency Department (ED) or Intensive Care Unit (ICU) setting.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Must reside outside a 90-mile radius from the facility.
