Description:
This is an ER Holding unit requiring a nursing level of care.
Candidates with travel experience are welcomed.
Ratios will be 1:4.
NIHSS certification is required.
Skills needed include blood product administration, chest tube management, continuous bladder irrigation, and CVA management.
Experience with feeding tube care, heparin, insulin, and isolation precautions is essential.
Ability to manage peripheral lines and PICC lines, as well as starting and maintaining IVs, is required.
Knowledge of telemetry and tracheostomy care is necessary.
Wound care and managing rapid response teams are also important.
The unit will care for adult and geriatric populations.
Expected daily patient census is 12, with 8 beds available.
Interdisciplinary support will include various specialized services.
All travelers will be expected to float to like units when necessary based on facility needs.
Brief orientation will be provided upon arrival.
Travelers are expected to comply with required compliance processes and notify in case of any anticipated delays.
