Travel Nurse RN - Emergency Room (ER) / Trauma - $2,743 per week in Fort Defiance, AZ

Job Title: Emergency Room Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Nurse Duration: 16 weeks Shift: 12-hour Day Shift (0700-1900), but must be flexible to take other shifts as needed Hours per Shift: 36 guaranteed Experience: Minimum of 2 years recent RN experience in the specialty that is being applied for License: Active RN license Certifications: - American Heart Association BLS - ACLS - PALS or ENPC - TNCC - Conscious sedation certification (obtained through facility after confirmation) Must-Have: Minimum of 2 years recent RN experience in the specialty Description: The Emergency Department consists of a Main ED, ED Fast Track, and an ED Observation Unit. Responsibilities may include taking a patient load if experienced and competent or could involve task-oriented duties such as answering call lights and phones.

All Emergency Department nurses are expected to rotate through each of these areas regularly. Nurses may be assigned to Triage, Quick Registration, Covid Tent, and Entry Screening. Nurses can expect to be assigned to different areas daily and may be rotated during their shift based on patient volume and needs of the unit. Nurses may assist with Covid testing and/or immunization clinics as needed. Shifts are typically structured as 7 on, 7 off with varying hours weekly. Travelers may float to other departments they are qualified to work in. Responsibilities may include taking a patient load if experienced and competent or could involve task-oriented duties such as answering call lights and phones. Assignments may change, and coverage for different shifts may be necessary based on staffing needs. Holiday coverage is required.
