Schedule: Mid-shift rotation (as early as 10:00 AM – 10:30 PM, as late as 1:00 PM – 1:30 AM), every third weekend, 48-hour guarantee available
Highlights:
- 24-bed Emergency Department within a Level 2 Trauma Center
- 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio with unit secretary support 21 hours daily
- Advanced equipment including Level 1 fluid warmers, GE monitoring systems, Arctic Sun, Lifepak, and Alaris pumps
- Meditech documentation system
- Minimal floating policy – only implemented if other staff have been flexed home
- Supportive team culture emphasizing AIDET, patient experience, and positive "can-do" attitudes
Requirements:
- Current Kansas RN license
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Emergency/Trauma nursing at a Level 2 Trauma Center
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, ENPC or PALS, TNCC, NIH
- Preferred certifications: CEN or TCRN, CPI
- Advanced skills in trauma care, STEMI care, stroke care, sepsis management, and triage
- Proficiency in all procedures associated with Level 2 trauma centers
- Adherence to dress code: cobalt blue top with black or cobalt blue pants (solid colors), closed-toe shoes
