Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1.5 years of recent Level I or II Emergency Department experience. Alternatively, a minimum of 2 years of recent Level III or IV Emergency Department experience. License: Registered Nurse license Certifications: BLS ACLS TNCC PALS (must be active/unexpired) Must-Have: Ability to independently read and interpret telemetry rhythm strips. Ability to identify heart blocks and pass a Telemetry Test on Day 1 with a score of 85% or higher. Description: This position requires a Registered Nurse for a busy Emergency Department. The shift available is 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, working 36 hours per week. The schedule includes two weekends within a four-week period and every other holiday. The department serves a high volume of patients, averaging 350 to 440 per day across 120 treatment areas. Nurses may be required to float to various areas, including Pediatric Emergency Department and Psychiatric Emergency Department. Experience with EPIC and critical care is preferred. Patient ratios are typically 1:4 to 1:5, depending on acuity level. Travelers will not be assigned to trauma rooms during this assignment.
