Key Responsibilities of the Registered Nurse (ER)- Identify patients' needs and provide comprehensive nursing care in the Emergency Department.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of LPNs and other support nursing staff under your direction.
- Maintain accurate and organized patient records and prepare reports promptly as required.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and hygienic environment for patients and staff, adhering to quality standards and infection control protocols.
- Demonstrate effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare team members.
- Exhibit a customer service-oriented approach when interacting with patients and their families, ensuring their comfort and addressing their concerns.
- Utilize superb organizational skills to manage supplies and equipment efficiently, ensuring availability and readiness for patient care.
- Remain calm, composed, and professional during crisis and emergent situations, providing effective nursing care under pressure.
- Proficiently navigate electronic records management systems and utilize computer skills for documentation and communication.
Requirements of the Registered Nurse (ER)- Minimum 2 years of RN experience
- Minimum 1 year of travel experience
- Unencumbered NY RN License
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS
