# Job Opportunity – Emergency Department Registered Nurse – Tallahassee, Florida

Start Date: October 9, 2026

Location: Tallahassee, Florida

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week, 4-week schedule posted 2 weeks in advance

Highlights:

• 39-bed Emergency Department with 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Diverse case mix including trauma stabilization, chest tubes, moderate sedation, lumbar punctures, laceration repair, and blood product administration
• MediTech EMR system with support from unit secretaries and 2-3 techs per shift
• Modern equipment including crash carts, Level One infusers, Alaris pumps, and Dash bedside cardiac monitors
• Rare floating requirements; primarily to ER hold unit during high-capacity periods
• Comprehensive acute-care facility offering specialized services including Pediatric ER, Chest Pain Center with PCI, and Stroke Center

Requirements:

• Active Florida RN license or ability to obtain
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Strong multi-tasking abilities and throughput-focused mindset
• Ability to assist with intubations and emergency lifesaving procedures
• Commitment to patient experience standards including hourly rounding and bedside shift report
