Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
Description:
This position offers an elevated seasonal winter rate.
If the traveler starts on September 21 or September 28, they will receive the standard rate until October 4, at which point the seasonal rate will take effect.
On February 27, rates will return to standard amounts.
Ratios are 1:4.
Travelers may be expected to float between nearby facilities.
Travelers' refusal to float may result in termination of assignment and/or forfeiture of guaranteed hours.
Daily census is approximately 120 patients with a maximum of 16 beds available.
The working environment requires skills in arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, and care of ventilated patients.
Key responsibilities include central line care and management, interpretation of arterial blood gases, and procedural sedation administration/monitoring.
The unit serves a diverse patient age group from neonates to geriatrics.
Staffing and scheduling are self-scheduling with ratios of 4 patients per nurse on days, nights, and weekends.
Pre-approved time off must be specified during submission.
All RTO and specific scheduling requests must be requested upfront.
Inflexibility beyond contracted schedule may lead to the termination of the contract.
