Experience: Minimum of 2 years ER experience, with at least 1 year at a Level 1 trauma facility or 2 years at a Level 2 trauma facility, including some pediatric experience.
License: Pending licenses accepted (must be in hand by the designated date).
Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC required.
Must-Have: Experience with a charting system, specifically Epic.
Must be able to work 2 out of 3 winter holidays.
Must be willing to work weekends, with scheduled days varying based on staffing needs.
Description:
This position is for a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room.
The nurse will provide care to patients of all ages, including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics.
The daily census is approximately 165 visits, with a total of 71 patient beds.
The nurse will be expected to interact with various interdisciplinary support services, such as pharmacy, social services, and respiratory services.
The nurse will be required to float within their scope of practice as necessary.
A maximum of 40 hours of time off will be approved during the contract period.
Experience with patients with trauma, stroke, and chest pain is preferred.
Candidates must have a clear understanding of trauma levels and appropriate care procedures.
Experience with pediatric patients is required, but not limited to a dedicated pediatric ER setting.
