Join the dedicated team at Community Hospital of Anaconda in Anaconda, Montana, as an experienced Labor & Delivery / Obstetrics Registered Nurse. This vital role involves providing comprehensive nursing care to expectant mothers, laboring patients, and postpartum mothers and their newborns within a community hospital setting.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing patient care across the full spectrum of obstetric services, from admission through labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum care. This includes monitoring maternal and fetal well-being, assisting with deliveries, and providing essential education and support to new families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to laboring, delivering, and postpartum mothers and their newborns.
  • Monitor fetal heart tones and maternal vital signs, interpreting data to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Assist physicians and other healthcare providers during labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum periods.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and adherence to protocols.
  • Educate patients and families on postpartum care, newborn care, breastfeeding, and discharge instructions.
  • Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Respond effectively to obstetric emergencies, demonstrating critical thinking and swift action.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Required Qualifications
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent, acute care experience in Labor & Delivery, Obstetrics, and Postpartum.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  • Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
  • Intermediate AWHONN Fetal Heart Monitoring certification.
