Description:
Position for an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse.
First-time travelers are accepted.
Certifications required include BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS.
Ratios in the unit are 1 nurse to 5 patients with mixed and shared acuity levels.
Minimal request for time off is preferred.
RNs will be required to have proficiency in phlebotomy as it is a crucial skill for this role.
Staff may float when census levels warrant.
Every other weekend shifts are required.
Skills required include management of dysrhythmias, blood product administration, and procedural sedation.
Experience with Epic charting system is preferred.
Patient demographics include neonates, adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics.
The average daily census in the unit is 64, with approximately 145 visits per day.
Staffing support includes IV teams, physical therapy, and rapid response teams.
Willingness to accommodate a block schedule is acknowledged but not guaranteed.
Candidates must have experience with dysrhythmia interpretation and management.
Competency in emergency medication administration and IV vasopressor management is necessary.
Additional experience in central line care and IV management is preferred.
