Description:
Shifts available are 3x12 or 4x12 nights from 19:00 to 07:30.
Weekend coverage required every other weekend but may change based on need.
Experience in using the Omnicell medication system is preferred.
Documentation system used is EPIC; 1 year of experience with EPIC is required.
Travelers will be reviewed based on skills and experience.
Floating to other units may be required based on needs.
Charge experience is preferred.
Patient ratio experience of 4:1 is required.
Charting experience with EPIC is mandatory.
Community hospital experience is preferred.
Travel experience is beneficial.
Candidates should have the following certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI, MAB, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC.
Unit details include interdisciplinary support from various services.
Daily census is approximately 130 patients per day.
The unit has 27 rooms and 44 beds.
Staff may be required to float to other units as needed.
All competencies must be documented prior to floating.
Modules are necessary pre-start and must be completed annually.
We strive to maintain staff in their home unit as much as possible.
Compliance testing is required for all travelers before starting.
Modules are reimbursable up to a specific limit based on time spent.
This position involves caring for diverse age groups, including neonates, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
