Unit Information: Emergency Department with 30 beds.
Staff includes Charge RNs, Paramedics, PCTs, and NEs on both day and night shifts.
Patient ratios are 1:4.
Type of equipment includes Pyxis, GE Monitors, Zoll defibrillators, Welch Allyn, and Dynamap vital signs machines.
EMR system used is Meditech.
Typical procedures performed include IV starts, EKG, trauma, cardiac, and stroke management.

Weekly self-scheduling with four weekend shifts per month, two of which must be consecutive.
