The Emergency Department has 40 beds and over 120 staff members. The unit operates with a patient ratio of 4:1, utilizing three rooms and one hall bed in high volume. Equipment includes cardiac monitors, EKGs, ultrasound units, Belmont Rapid Infuser, IO drills, and Lifepak devices. The electronic medical record system used is Meditech. Candidates with high-pressure experience in previous roles are preferred. Previous medical experience as an RN, Medic, or Technician is desirable. Typical procedures performed include IV starts and phlebotomy, as well as cardiac monitoring and interpretation. An outgoing and positive personality under pressure is the best fit for this role.
