The emergency department has a total of 38 beds with three main areas, including a rapid treatment area, main area, and a psych-safe area. The unit is staffed by a combination of day and night RNs. The team consists of 7 RNs on day shift and 7 RNs on night shift. Common equipment used includes ventilators, BiPAP machines, EKG monitors, arterial lines, Belmont devices, and chest tubes. The electronic medical record system in use is Meditech. The typical skill set we seek includes strong prioritizing and time management abilities, as well as experience in de-escalation and crisis intervention techniques. Preferred candidates will excel in time management and be effective team players. Candidates should be patient-focused, detail-oriented, and possess a positive attitude. The position requires a minimum commitment of four weekend shifts and two Fridays within a four-week schedule. Additionally, there is a requirement for two major holidays and two minor holidays.
