Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 1+ years in a relevant specialty License: Valid Registered Nurse license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS required Must-Have: - Charting experience in Epic - 2 weekend shifts per contract - Previous charge experience preferred - Patient ratio experience Description: This position involves working night shifts in an emergency room setting. The nurse will provide care for patients with various emergency medical conditions. Required certifications must be in hand at the time of submission. The ideal candidate should have at least 1 year of experience in an emergency room. Local candidates are not accepted, as there is a 50-mile radius restriction. Travelers may float to similar units based on the facility's needs. The facility experiences a daily census of around 100 patients with an average of 4 patients per nurse during night shifts. Key areas of patient diagnosis include stroke, respiratory issues, and trauma cases. Skills required include management of ventilated patients, interpretation of EKGs, and emergency medication administration.
