Description:
This position involves working night shifts in an emergency room setting.
The nurse will provide care for patients with various emergency medical conditions.
Required certifications must be in hand at the time of submission.
The ideal candidate should have at least 1 year of experience in an emergency room.
Local candidates are not accepted, as there is a 50-mile radius restriction.
Travelers may float to similar units based on the facility's needs.
The facility experiences a daily census of around 100 patients with an average of 4 patients per nurse during night shifts.
Key areas of patient diagnosis include stroke, respiratory issues, and trauma cases.
Skills required include management of ventilated patients, interpretation of EKGs, and emergency medication administration.
Interdisciplinary support is available from various teams including respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams.
