Job Title: Staff Registered Nurse - Inpatient Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Department/Trauma Duration: Contract for 14 weeks Shift: 3rd (Weekend Program Nights: Friday - Sunday) Hours per Shift: 36 hours/week Experience: Minimum years of experience required, telemetry competence required License: Current state Registered Nurse License or a Multi-state Nursing License from a participating state in the NLC (Nurse Licensure Compact) Certifications: - American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent - American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - Trauma Nurse Course Certification (TNCC) - American Heart Association (AHA) Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required within one year of hire Must-Have: - Clinical competence and experience in the care and management of target patient populations specific to the area of employment - Professional knowledge of nursing theory and practice at a level normally acquired through completion of education at an accredited School of Nursing Description: The Registered Nurse is a practitioner responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for an identified group of patients in an inpatient environment. This individual demonstrates competency in the delivery of care to a primarily adult population. The role requires the ability to work effectively in high-stress situations typical of the emergency department and trauma settings. Nurses must be adept at patient care management and possess a solid knowledge of nursing theory and practice. Teamwork and communication skills are essential for collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
